Dior’s 2021 cruise collection is a celebration of the traditions of southern Italy, specifically the city of Lecce, a small town in Puglia, where the Parisian house held an elaborate cruise spectacle this July. Dior’s Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri paid homage to her home country, as well as the traditional arts of Puglia. “During this period, I sought to give collective efforts a new dimension. Despite the disadvantages of distance, bringing a different perspective to our daily lives has given us strength and imagination,” she said in a press release. The 90-look collection includes pinafore dresses, blanket-fringe skirts, and hand-knit sweaters in flamboyant motifs and colors.
