When About Nights embraced those, who are bold enough to feel #DeliDolu (“rambunctious”) and shook the ground with its motto #AşıkOl (“fall in love”), it became inevitable to feature them in this issue. We met talented actress Gülcan Arslan and explored what it means to be “rambunctious.”
Does love begin with loving yourself?
Loving yourself is falling for your presence on earth… Love is to mature. It makes life liveable, instils vivacity in your cells, and makes you feel it too. It can squeeze all emotions in one moment! Your life is rich to the extent of your capability of loving and being loved. The more you know how to “love yourself in every way”, the more you embrace the world with all its four seasons! Your life transforms through love. Love embraces you and that’s when you start seeing, instead of looking.
Do you believe that people are made for each other? Are you deterministic about this?
Based on personal experience, I think we’re made to guide one other instead of being made for each other. I believe that every person I have ever met has contributed to the person I am today. I don’t see it as predetermination. If I’m satisfied with my current existence, then I’m thankful for every single occurrence and person leading me here.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten about love?
Love is “you” - remember that!
