Giant elephants, breathtaking temples, endless tea plantations, tropical beaches... There are so many things to discover in Sri Lanka. Here are some unforgettable destinations from our journey around the island from one end to another.


Anuradhapura

During your journey from end to end in Sri Lanka, the island’s inspiring wildlife offers a memorable tropical experience. Our first stop is Anuradhapura, one of the largest cities and the most prominent Buddhism center of the country. Getting lost among the Bodhi trees, which are said to be the oldest tree in the world, visiting the giant Buddhist temple of Mirisawetiya built in the second century BC and the royal gardens spreading over an area of 14 hectares are some of the perfect activities best enjoyed with a friend.

 


Dambulla

We travel 14 kilometers from Anuradhapura to Dambulla to visit the best preserved temple complex on the island. The magnificent Sigiriya Fortress welcomes you from the center of rice fields. After an hour climb, the view of sky-high trees is definitely worth seeing.


 

Mihintale

Anuradhapura is at the center of Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle. Thirteen kilometers away, the ancient temple of Mihintale welcomes you with a giant Buddha statue. The only thing to do here is to live in the moment and watch the sunset.


 

Nuwara Eliya

Sri Lanka is the perfect place to visit the endless tea plantations and factories which is the hallmark of Sri Lanka, and to witness the journey of tea Nuwara Eliya is the best spot.

 



Ella

We ride the island’s famous blue train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella accompanied by the wild landscape. The train ride will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience.


 


Yala National Park


Yala National Park is the most famous and biggest national park in Sri Lanka. The park has a rich wildlife so you are likely to see elephants, alligators, buffalos, deer, and monkeys.



 


Beaches

With white-sand beaches, endless blue seas, and palm trees, Sri Lanka offers many alternatives for a vacation. Surfing is very popular on the island. Tangalle, Mirissa, Weligama, and Arugam Bay are among the best surfing spots. The southern part of the island hosts the most amazing beaches by the Indian Ocean.
